Volunteer Spotlight: Seung Song
Pastor Song is a father of three, husband of a praying wife, seminary student at Calvin Theological Seminary, and pastor of a local congregation.
He volunteers weekly at Hope Network’s Siloam Home where he usually leads worship and devotions with Scripture and intercessory prayer. His volunteer involvement has been associated with Calvin Seminary’s service learning and summer internship programs. He continues to volunteer because it keeps him connected with the reality of serving God’s kingdom from a pastoral perspective.
One of his favorite Bible verses is from Habakkuk 3:2: “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.” This verse reminds him of the significance of what God is doing in his life and that he is in need of His mercy always. Whenever Pastor Song is with those with disabilities, he feels that he will receive something more precious and meaningful than anything he could ever give to them.
